The SGS Library is open for research at an historic building in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle:

New! The SGS Library open days are now Tuesday through Saturday. If weather conditions are poor, or you just want to be sure the library is open, give us a call before you come.
Tuesday - Saturday
10:00 am to 3:00 pm
 
In addition to the library book collection, wireless Internet access is available. Three library computers offer subscription databases Ancestry.com, Fold3, Newspapers.com Extra, and American Ancestors. FamilySearch Affiliate records may be viewed on any Internet-connected computer within the library.

Family Search LogoFamilySearch Affiliate Library
The Seattle Genealogical Society is an Affiliate Library for the Family History Library in Salt Lake City and FamilySearch.org. This means that when you are inside the SGS Library either using your own computer or our Patron Computers you will be able to access the "locked" records at FamilySearch.org. You will be prompted to sign up for a FREE account through FamilySearch.org, or to sign in to your own account and then you can access the records. The service is available during normal hours at the SGS research library.
